Jacq is a nonbinary writer of Jewish and Mexican descent living in the Bay Area.

They are a high school dropout and first-generation college transfer student. Jacq holds a B.A. in English from UC Berkeley. They are currently a graduate student in the Creative Writing MFA program at San Francisco State University, where they are a William Dickey Poetry Fellow.
Their poetry and collage works have exhibited at Bushel Collective (New York) and BAMPFA (Berkeley); their writing has appeared in local and national publications. In August 2018, Jacq completed their writer residency for Radar Production's Show Us Your Spines: an archival fellowship for queer writers of color at the San Francisco Public Library. 

Jacq's first chapbook of poems, Greater Grave, was published by The Operating System in July 2018.
